BETA EXPECTATIONS

General

  • Kill Cam
  • After your death, you will now be able to view how you died through the eyes of your killer.
  • This is a BETA version of Kill Cam and will be prone to bugs. We appreciate all feedback on this new system. It is possible we will need to turn this feature off.
  • Reduced the frequency at which voice lines are triggered per Champion by 50%.
  • The Profile and Vault screens on the Main Menu have undergone a visual update.
  • The primary font for Paladins has been updated.
  • Beacon updates:
  • You may no longer fire or use champion abilities while holding the Beacon, but you may still mount.
  • You must be off your mount to pick up the Beacon.
  • Entering into the entrance Beacon will teleport you immediately just like a portal, and will take 2s before the portal becomes active again for another player to use.
  • Updated the presentation of the entrance Beacon to appear as a portal, making it easier to understand what it does.
  • Fixed an issue where some larger Champions could not go through the Beacon at certain spots.
  • Fixed some issues where Fernando and Grover were unable to attack an exit Beacon.
  • The Beacon can no longer be afflicted with Damage Over Time effects.
  • Fixed various issues where Champions would appear low quality in the lobby. We will be continuing to fix issues with this in future patches.
  • Radiant Chests purchased with Gold will no longer provide any Crafting Power. Only Radiant Chests purchased with Crystals will provide 100 CP.
  • When in Challenge Mode only, destroying enemy Gates will no longer incur a respawn penalty.
  • Fixed an issue where entrance Beacons became invisible after disconnecting from a match and returning.
  • The music played in the Main Menu has been updated.
  • Various notifications have had their default volume reduced.
  • Updated the presentation for the pulse of white that happens when you successfully hit an enemy, preventing it from flashing too much when you are close to an enemy.
  • Cripple now correctly displays an effect when you are in first person.

Map/Game Mode - Updates

  • Glacier Keep
  • Fixed various issues where bots would be unable to find a valid path to walk along.
  • Fixed various areas where players could get stuck.
  • Fixed an issue where some trees did not have collision, so players could go through them.
  • Improved the audio that plays on Glacier Keep to include more ambiance.
  • Outpost
  • Payload Cart
  • The Payload Cart has been updated to contain valuable jewels and treasure. These jewels have been stolen from the vault where the cart originates. The Defending team must stop the Payload Cart from reaching the Zeppelin rendezvous or they will lose their fortune!
  • The Payload Cart now heals any nearby players from the Attacking (Push) team for 50 Health every second.
  • Fixed an issue where the wheels on the Payload Cart were turning the opposite direction of travel. No more moonwalking Cart.
  • The final checkpoint has been extended.
  • Added a new victory cinematic for Attackers where an ally Zeppelin swoops in from the sky and grabs the Treasure cart, securing the treasure for the Attacking team.

General

  • The jump height has been reduced on all Champions by 50%.
  • Champions now generate 1% ultimate charge every 3s.

  • New sound effects when firing Minigun that matches the rate of fire.
  • Ability Hexa Fire.png *NEW* Ultimate - Hexa Fire
  • This replaces Bulwark as Ruckus' Ultimate ability.
  • Ruckus roots himself in place and reveals four extra guns: two additional miniguns and two rocket launchers. All six guns fire simultaneously for 5s.

Cards - Balance/Updates/Fixes

  • General
  • The card system has been reworked to bring more flexibility in creating card combinations.
  • Players will now build two decks of five cards to bring into a match: A Common deck and a Champion specific deck. These decks are built in the Profile section of the Main Menu and cannot be edited in the match lobby. You may have three decks for Common cards, and three decks per Champion that can be renamed.
  • WARNING: Do not use any special characters (i.e. a percentage sign %) in the name of your custom decks as this will cause various issues including crashing your game. We are working on a fix for this in future updates.
  • Common cards do not rank up and simply provide a flat stat benefit.
  • Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary cards are Champion specific.
  • Neutral Cards
  • General
  • All Neutral cards are now Common rarity, and moving forward only Neutral cards will exist at this rarity.
  • Neutral cards no longer rank up in match, and will now have a single stat increase.
  • [Armor] Attacks you receive that deal over 500 damage are reduced by 25%.
  • [Weapon] Increase your reload speed by 25%.
  • [Armor] You increase your maximum Health by +100 each time you level up.
  • [Armor] Reduces the amount of time it takes to get on your mount by 50%.
  • [Armor] Increase the amount of experience you get by 15%.
  • [Armor] Attacks that you receive that deal less than 75 damage are reduced by 25%.
  • [Armor] Increase your maximum Health by 10%.
  • [Armor] You heal an additional 2% of your max Health when out of combat.
  • Now belongs to Cassie.
  • No longer increases the amount you heal out of combat.
  • Now reduces the amount of time it takes for you to exit combat by 3s.
  • No longer belongs to Pip.
  • Reduced Health gained from HP Drops from 50% to 10%.
  • Now belongs to Grohk.
  • Now belongs to Fernando.
  • No longer belongs to Ruckus.
  • No longer belongs to Skye.
  • No longer provides a reduction to the time it takes to get on your mount.
  • Reduced mount speed increase from 45 → 20%.
  • Now increases the rate at which you charge your Ultimate by 30%.
  • Now provides +20% Movement Speed.
  • Now reduces the duration of Crowd Control effects by 40%.
  • Now belongs to Evie.
  • Now reduces the duration of Damage Over Time effects by 33%.
  • Now belongs to Grohk.
  • Now provides +100% damage to Shields.

  • [Poison Time Bomb] Increase the explosion radius of Poison Time Bomb by {15/20/25/30}%.
  • [Smoke Screen] Enemy deployables or pets inside of Smoke Screen are de-activated for {2/3/4/5}s.
  • [Armor] On successful kill, lower all your active Cooldowns by {25/50/75/100}%.
  • [Poison Time Bomb] Poison Time Bomb explodes {0.3/0.6/0.9/1.2}s faster.
  • [Smoke Screen] Enter stealth that lasts {2/4/6/8}s immediately upon entering your own Smoke Screen.
  • Now provides 3 increased max ammo count and 5/10/15/20 ammo back on successful kill.
