Corvus (also known as Knaifu or Red) is high-ranking secret operative in the Magistrate and the son of Karne, the grand magister of the Magistrate. He as the Magistrate's Blade was a tool for the Magistrate`s purpose. He rose to the ranks of the Magistrate and worked for a few Tribunal Judges. During his time, he experienced some things that were closed to the public eye, horrible things that came from the Supernaturals and the Abyss. Due to his experience with supernatural encounters, he was now firmly involved in such encounters at the Magistrate. For this reason he became an expert of abyssal powers and developed his own. After he was tricked by the Abyss by releasing Raum, which cost him his reputation in the Magistrate, he was sent to exile. Now he wants to fight and directly control the Abyss and supernatural elements of the Realm. [1] He still feels connected to the Magistrate, but now he makes his own decisions and is no longer used by the Magistrate as a tool. [2]

Name[edit | edit source]

Before he was officially named, the community had named him "Knaifu the Waifu Stealer", or simply "Knaifu" after his abduction of Abby to sacrifice to the Abyss in Rise of Furia. He was also known in the community as "The Unknown" or "Red". Thunderbrush had referred to him as "Coat-Guy" .

In-Game Lore[edit | edit source]

The most difficult decisions test even the strongest of wills, but his will has never wavered, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. He is Corvus, The Magistrate’s Blade. He is the son of Karne, the powerful leader of the Magistrate, but it is by his own merit that he has earned the absolute loyalty of his men and instilled fear in his enemies.

A charismatic leader and brilliant tactician, Corvus will stop at nothing to see his goals realized: a peace to surpass that of the Golden Age, under the Magistrate’s rule. With the near-limitless energy of the Abyss, bent to his iron will, and those soldiers still loyal to his vision of peace, he is doing what no other is capable of. By his own strength, the Resistance will fall, and peace will be forged for the Realm’s citizens, with or without their cooperation.

Rise of Furia[edit | edit source]

The Town of Seris was under threat from the Abyss, which hungered for a soul. Corvus was the leader of the Magistrate troop tasked with finding a volunteer and sacrificing them to appease the Abyss. He seized Abby, and left her sister Sarah a lock of her hair. It is unknown what happened after this, as he is not seen during the actual sacrifice, but he is known to survive the destruction of Seris, as he appears in Shattered Desert. It is unknown how he escaped.

End Times[edit | edit source]

During the Battle of Shattered Desert, Corvus led the Magistrate army tasked with seizing the shattered shards of the moon for the power they contained. Originally, he beats the Resistance and successfully retrieves the power of the moon shards, unknowingly releasing the Darkness and dooming the Realm.

Shattered Goddess Return[edit | edit source]

When Atlas returned to the past and encouraged Jenos to recruit Io, their combined might was enough to stop Corvus and his army from retrieving the shards. It also appears that his army was also terrorizing the citizens of Bazaar. Io gravely injures Corvus in this battle.

Releasing Raum[edit | edit source]

After the Battle of Shattered Desert, Corvus was defeated, desperately looking for something, anything to give him the power to defeat the Resistance. Then Seris returned to him and offered him immense power from the Abyss. She tricked him into opening a portal, releasing Raum into the Realm. This action cost him his reputation in the Magistrate, he was sent to exile. Now he wants to fight and directly control the Abyss and supernatural elements of the Realm. The Magistrates don't trust him anymore, so does Strix, who wants to monitor Corvus. In the Magistrate's Archives he meets Tyra, she belongs to the Resistance. But they join forces, because they have the same goal in mind and have already worked well together in the past as Sentinels.
