Dragon Arena is one of the maps in Paladins and was released in the Paladins 1.8 update.

Description[ | ]

It was released for the Dragon's Call event. But now the only Game Mode that is currently playable in this map is Team Deathmatch.

Lore[ | ]

Trials of the Realm Bio:
"At an elevation befitting its name, Dragon Arena once hosted magnificent bouts between some of the most powerful beings in the Realm for sport. Now, fights there are for a different purpose."[1]

Other Information:
The Dragon Arena is a location where the ancient dragon masters, the Warders once honed their skills, as revealed here.

Hazards[ | ]

Cliff Ledges[ | ]

Large cliffs surround a good portion of the map, allowing for potential easy eliminations by pushing enemies off the map. Champions that lack a good movement ability may find themselves victim to these cliffs.

Special Features[ | ]

Portals[ | ]

A one-way portal is present on one side of the map, allowing another option for one team to approach the enemy and move around the map; though being one way, this can also easily lead to one finding themselves cornered.

Jump Pads[ | ]

One exists on both sides of the map in front of the base spawning area for both teams, allowing for easy access to the center structure, especially when the ultimate power-up appears.

Power-Up[ | ]

Spawning in the center structure, this power-up automatically grants the player that walks into it full ultimate charge.

Details[ | ]

  • Provides 100% ultimate charge to the player who picks it up
  • Initially spawns 40 seconds into the match.
  • Respawns every 60 seconds when picked up.
  • If a player already has 100% ultimate when picked up, the power-up won't do anything and disappear as usual.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The special ultimate power-up that spawns on this map (and on the Abyss map) is similar to the Pyre Blessing pickups[2] that spawned in Rise of Furia, though in the event, each pickup only provided 7% ultimate charge.[3] Due to this, and the same symbol appearing at the end of Azaan's teaser trailer, it's assumed these power-ups are also related to the Pyre.
  • Bots will generally avoid entering the middle structure containing the ultimate power-up, though if they do end up inside (usually at the start of a match), they'll be teleported outside after a short time.
