Lore[ | ]

This is Viktor's official bio currently found in his champion page in-game.


The former commander of Sentinels, an elite Magistrate military unit, Viktor lives in shadow of his former glory. He took the blame for what happened during their final mission, was stripped of his rank, and reassigned to a lower position by Grand Magister Karne. Though disgraced, his training and model performance as a soldier remains unmatched, which with his unwavering loyalty to the Magistrate makes him invaluable, even as it transitions under Grand Magister Lian.

Determined to regain his standing, he pushes himself well beyond his limits in battle against the Resistance, striving to end the rebellion before the conflict truly rages out of control.

This is an unofficial version of Viktor's bio intended to more clearly present all currently known information regarding him. Sources can be found here.


Once commander of the elite Magistrate unit known as the Sentinels, after taking the blame for their disastrous final mission, Viktor was stripped of his rank and reassigned to a lower position by Karne himself. Despite this, Viktor remained completely loyal to the Magistrate, determined to regain his standing, pushing himself far beyond his limits in the growing conflict against the Resistance.

Viktor would later fight against other former Sentinels, Strix and Tyra, when the two began investigating Corvus after he'd been tricked into summoning Raum. Following this, Viktor would also join Atlas and various other champions in several battles against Yagorath in the Shattered Desert.

Following the defeat of Yagorath, Viktor would be present while Grand Magister Karne decided to step down and entrust leadership of the Magistrate to House Aico, with Viktor seemingly not being fond of the decision.

In the Lost Future, Viktor would seemingly be killed in Frozen Guard.

This was Viktor's in-game bio prior to the The Damned Frontier update. It's no longer considered canon.

Summary[ | ]

Viktor is a damage champion with very high damage output and one of the easiest champions to use (for those who are used to various military shooters). His Assault Rifle fires with a high rate of fire but low accuracy, though his Iron Sights ability allows him to significantly improve this accuracy at the cost of his movement speed. His Frag Grenades deal area damage and can be cooked before thrown so they explode earlier. His Hustle allows him to run in and out of fights and gives him limited flanking capability. His ultimate skill, Barrage, allows him to deal high damage in large areas making it a great tool for clearing areas and forcing enemies to disperse.

Throw a fragmentation grenade that deals up to 750 damage in an area. Holding Q will cook the grenade and reduce its detonation time. Frag Grenade is fully effective up to 20 units and will hit enemies up to 30 units away.
  • This ability deals Area Damage.
  • Gain 4% ultimate charge per target hit.
  • Has a radius of 30.
  • Has damage falloff.
  • Fuse time is 1.5s, and it is reduced by the time it was cooked.
  • Viktor takes up to 100 damage when hit by his own grenades, and will also slightly knock himself back.
  • Enemies hit will also be slightly knocked back.
  • Hitting a target with the grenade itself before it explodes will deal 100 damage to the target, and the grenade will bounce off of it.

Bring up your targeting binoculars to rain down damage on enemies. Target an enemy player to guide an artillery shell to their location, dealing 1400 damage in an area. Using this ability consumes 40% of your Ultimate charge, and each shell consumes an additional 20%. While using Barrage, your Movement Speed is reduced by 40%. Barrage's explosion has a radius of 20 units. Can be refired to cancel.

  • At one point, a developer claimed that Viktor's old appearance is meant to be the father of Viktor's new appearance, which had been a popular theory / headcanon by the community for years.[1]
    • However it was mentioned soon after that this claim wasn't discussed with the lore team and that the initial statement shouldn't be taken as hard truth at this point, making the situation canonically vague once again.[2][3]
